CPTED Services & Training Course Information
The Certificate courses offered are professionally presented where trainees learn CPTED at an introductory level in the Basic Course. In the Advanced Course trainees build on those initial concepts with additional strategies to apply CPTED with various types of properties. Trainees class projects have more complex issues/concerns. The curriculum includes theory, exercises, team work, field experience, and a quiz.
Trainees will gain a good working knowledge base to support conducting CPTED assessments in the field. Trainees from across Canada attend the virtual training courses, allowing you to meet people from other professions and gain insight into their perspectives.
CPTED instructors hold CPTED Professional Designations with the National Institute of Crime Prevention (NICP), in addition to having significant field experience with a variety of property types and diverse/complex issues and concerns. Guest presenters are professionals with a variety of backgrounds who have knowledge, expertise, and experience with the use and application of CPTED for various properties, settings, and situations.
Although our staff hold NICP CPTED Professional Designations, the courses offered by CPTED Services & Training are Certificate Courses only and are NOT NICP CPTED Professional Designation courses.

Private courses have an added benefit as you can select local properties as the trainees class projects.
