CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) focuses on the effects of the built environment and it's impact on human behaviour. It is an internationally accepted crime prevention best practice that follows principles and incorporates a community approach.
Experienced CPTED Practitioners conduct reviews and assessments with written reports. Members of the CPTED Team hold a minimum of an Advanced CPTED Certificate, have field experience with a variety of properties and types of issues/concerns. In addition, CPTED Course Instructors are experienced practitioners, and hold CPTED Professional Designations through the National Institute of Crime Prevention (NICP). |

A full assessment and detailed written report for properties, projects, grants, or developments.This includes ASIP Grant applicants/recipients. Experienced CPTED Services & Training staff conduct assessments throughout Alberta.
If requested, municipalities or organizations may choose to include additional services with the assessment such as: CPTED training courses, workshops, facilitated conversations, or community events such as BBQs to engage residents, businesses or residents in this process. |
